Contemporary house and techno giant Damian Lazarus has set the dates for the next edition of Day Zero Tulum.
Day Zero will return to the jungles of Mexico on January 12, 2024, inviting partygoers on a marathon musical journey that respectfully melds Mayan culture with impeccable soundscapes.
The exceptional curatory skills of Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels label will be on full display with an eclectic mix of exclusive sunset-to-sunrise performances from the “global underground elite, forward-thinking Mexican talent, and emerging artists from the Crosstown universe.”
Day Zero festivities will once again marry ancient Mayan rituals and performances from local guides with “mind-bending” production technology to offer “an intertwining of the modern and mythic.”
In accordance with Mayan respect for the earth and its resources, Day Zero Tulum remains committed to sustainable environmental practices through the Crosstown Consciousness initiative.
Day Zero has partnered with innovative Mexican company Petgas to convert all plastic waste from the festival into fuel used to power the event – in turn, setting a new standard for how events in the region can responsibly operate.
Day Zero 2024 comes on the heels of Crosstown Rebels’ 20th anniversary celebrations, which marked the occasion with a CR20 World Tour, an eight-track compilation, and even a 240-page commemorative book.
The label has remained a premier tastemaker in the industry thanks to consistently discovering stars like Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex, and more.
Day Zero Tulum’s “Tickets of Trust” will go on sale Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 4PM ET. Fans can register for pre-sale access here.
