Those in the Colorado area looking to spend New Year’s dancing the night away know about Decadence.
Decadence NYE has become a Colorado staple since its inception around 2011 and continues to dominate the scene as a top-notch way to ring in the new year.
The festival was founded by Ha Hau, a festival visionary and legend who had been throwing parties since the 90s. He is also the founder of Triad Dragons Entertainment and Artist Group.
And while it started off with an incredible roster of performers, each year has continued to up the ante with top-tier production, a welcoming community, and even better lineups.
Decadence 2012
One of the first Decadences hit a home run right out of the gate, highlighting huge, longstanding headliners like atb, Krewella, Wolfgang Gartner, Zeds Dead, Flosstradamus, and more.
It’s hard to believe that over ten years later, ravers would still crawl hands and knees to be front and center to any one of these sets. But with the festival only just beginning it lacked variety in genre that would improve in the years to come.
Decadence Colorado 2014
2014 was arguably the beginning of the Golden Age of EDM and Decadence truly understood this era with all sounds and sizes of performers represented across the board.
Huge names of the time all headed to “The City of Decadence” to set the stage for 2015 including Armin van Buuren, Big Gigantic, Disclosure, Kaskade, and Zedd.
Plus the undercards were filled with soon-to-be gigantic artists like Claude VonStroke, Madeon, and W&W plus some new artists at the time named ILLENIUM and Said the Sky.
Decadence Colorado 2017
Decadence 2017 certainly turned up the heat with the “City Beyond Tomorrow” bringing chart toppers Justice and Louis the Child and bass staples SLANDER, Troyboi, and Big Gigantic. House fans also began to get notice with Claude VonStroke and Green Velvet‘s duo Get Real receiving a prime slot.
Not to mention fan favorite emotional artists ODESZA, Porter Robinson, and RÜFÜS DU SOL adding a layer of depth and calm that more seasoned ravers would appreciate.
Decadence Colorado 2019
2019 was another smash year for Decadence bringing nothing but headliners to the stage.
On par with some of the biggest festivals in the world like EDC or Ultra, Decadence truly began to tailor their lineup to the Colorado audience.
Bass fans could check out CloZee, Ganja White Night, DIESEL, or Mersiv while house heads could shuffle to Boys Noize, Oliver Heldens, FISHER, and Tchami X Malaa.
Decadence 2023
And now Decadence is rolling out all the stops for 2023’s “The Digital City” highlighting some of the biggest and most viral producers and DJs of the year.
This year is debatably the best lineup so far, inviting Skrillex, Sofi Tukker, ILLENIUM, and longtime collaborators John Summit and Subtronics to close out one of their biggest years yet.
Trance legends Cosmic Gate will return this year as well as Malaa, Mersiv, Steve Aoki, and more. Dabin and Said the Sky will go back-to-back in an emotional dance music set for the ages while the more aggressive ravers head bang it out to Ganja White Night, HOL!, and HE$H.
