Bass music heavyweights DIESEL and LEVEL UP have finally joined forces to drop “NEXT LVL” out now on Monstercat.

This duo has separately taken over the bass music community over the last few years, and this collaboration was a highly anticipated one.

First teased at Lost Lands last year, the duo hopped on the festival’s main stage to debut an early live version of the track, which has since gone viral on TikTok.

The single is a dubstep juggernaut, encouraging listeners to get amped up and take “it” to the next level (in this instance, taking your energy up a few notches).

LEVEL UP spoke about her experience working with the basketball player turned DJ, saying, “‘NEXT LVL’ with Shaq was truly an amazing experience. We both originally came from a more hip-hop turntablism background, and we were both so excited to bring some of those elements into the song, especially through the intro.”

She continued, “We went back and forth for a while about what kind of vibe we wanted, from the beat to the lyrics, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out in a way that encompasses us both as artists.”

DIESEL is heading into 2024 in full swing as he has already been announced on many lineups this year and will be hosting his own touring event, Shaq’s Bass All Stars.

LEVEL UP is currently in the middle of her nationwide ‘Seance Tour Part II’.
