Disclosure Releases Official Video For “Watch Your Step”

Disclosure, the iconic British duo comprised of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence, has finally released the official music video to accompany their latest track “Watch Your Step.” The track was included on their new album ENERGY, which was released in August of 2020 via Island Records. The debut was wildly successful, already earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Disclosure has released a total of three studio albums, each of them garnering a GRAMMY nomination.

Known for their perfectionism and acute attention to musicality, the beloved pair has earned their place as chart-topping artists time and again thanks to their signature style topped with captivating vocals. “Watch Your Step” captures Disclosure’s unique twist on electronic music with a funky 80’s inspired beat featuring vocals with Kelis (best-known for her mega-hit “Milkshake”). The track is upbeat and fits well with the smooth yet syncopated vocals Kelis is known for, making this an incredibly catchy track.

The music video is equally as fun, kicking off an impromptu dance party in the cafeteria of a school as students, parents, and teachers alike start breaking out in dance in the middle of the room. Similar to the overall vibe of the song, the further into the track the more difficult it is to resist the urge to move in cadence with the music. For these award-winning producers, another epic album is exactly what we all needed to end a long year.
