EDC Reminder: If You See Something, Say Something

The 22nd edition of North America’s largest dance music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, is just around the corner! The excitement is building for one of the most anticipated dance festivals of the year.

EDC attracts a record amount of attendees every year. General Admission tickets to this year’s festival are completely sold out, and only some VIP tickets remain. Historically, nearly 135,000 attendees converge on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from dusk till dawn for three nights of music.

With this many attendees, festival safety is certainly Insomniac’s number 1 priority. Hundreds of Nevada State Police Officers, private security personnel, and State Troopers all work hard to ensure a safe environment for attendees to have a great time without incident.

This year is no different. We’d like to remind you to always stay vigilant and speak up if you see anything suspicious or out of the ordinary. This also goes for festivals year-round.

“They really have to speak up if something doesn’t look or feel right,” Maren Steiner, the director of health and safety for organizer Insomniac Events, told the Associated Press in 2017. “I would rather send our law enforcement to investigate 100 incidents that turn out to be nothing.”

Please do not be afraid to speak to Insomniac staff, Ground Control, or security personnel if something doesn’t feel or look right. These people are all here to look out for attendees and make sure you are safe.

If you see something, say something!

With one of the best festival weekends for dance music coming up, fans from all over the world will descend on Las Vegas for an unforgettable weekend of music, friendship and memories. Please do your part this festival season by looking out for one another. See you next weekend!
