Italian techno artist Enrico Sangiuliano is making waves in the underground music scene with his latest EP, Glitch In Time, out now on his own transient imprint, NINETOZERO.
NINETOZERO is a unique concept in the realm of electronic music. It’s a time-limited record label that’s deliberately limited to just 10 chapters.
Sangiuliano’s contribution to NINETOZERO marks a significant shift in his sound and creative exploration, as this Emilia native, celebrated for his timeless underground tracks, continues to push the boundaries of his art.
“Glitch In Time,” the title track of the EP, serves as a metaphorical representation of a temporal disruption. It delves into the transient imperfections within a system, reflecting moments of instability.
Sangiuliano masterfully interprets these disruptions through his music, offering listeners an enthralling and unanticipated sonic journey.
Proudly representing Italy, Sangiuliano rolls into the second single on the EP, “Skylark” with a feature from Antonio D’Africa. This track is full of synthesizers that complement it with various textures and melodies, adding complexity and depth.
Repetition is a fundamental part of this track adding patterns, loops, and motifs that are repeated and layered to build tension and energy throughout the track.
When speaking about Glitch In Time Sangiuliano states, “The Sentinels are an Italian collective of skillful producers I collaborated with for this chapter of NINETOZERO. We have regular chats about music and production, during one of which I shared the concept of this release ‘Glitch In Time.’ This got our minds flowing to the idea that each of us could approach this chapter in our own signature style. The outcome, to me, is a strong collection of tracks that distinguish themselves from the mainstream, providing an intriguing translation for this release.
