ESSEL‘s journey with Toolroom is a testament to her incredible rise, and she is continuing her journey with the hot single, “The Edge.”
Discovered at one of Toolroom’s We Are Listening events a few years ago, she has since become an integral part of the label’s in-house management roster.
As for ESSEL’s musical influences, she hails from Liverpool but draws her inspiration from the Italian house music scene, which she encountered during her visits to family in the vibrant rave scene of Bari, in southern Italy.
Her upbringing was steeped in music, with her mother’s passion for singing and dance, and her introduction to classics from the likes of M People and Shania Twain.
ESSEL’s journey also includes a background in dance, having danced intensively for 10 years and even participating in dance competitions.
Her love for music evolved from selecting tracks and learning to create seamless mixes for these competitions. After her dance career, she ventured into singing on a cruise ship, a pivotal moment that ignited her desire to delve into DJing. Her dedication led her to hours of practice, honing her skills and perfecting her craft
“The Edge,” is marked by catchy and stripped-back melodies. It’s an earworm that transcends boundaries, pleasing both radio and club DJs alike.
Her unique blend of influences and experiences has given birth to a sound that’s as infectious as it is unforgettable. With her ever-growing success and unique musical journey, the sky truly seems to be the limit for ESSEL.
