Flume Will Release Collaboration With Damon Albarn Of Gorillaz In 2022

The way someone celebrates NYE often sets the tone for the year ahead, and for NYE 2021 Flume teased a collaboration with Damon Albarn, the musical polymath behind Gorillaz and various other projects.

The news came from Flume, real name Harley Edward Streten, via a video on Twitter on December 31, 2021. The tweet incldues one of Streten’s signature intuitive visualizers set to his music with Albarn’s vocals and the cryptic caption “2022.” So far the track has no name. Watch the video in full below.

Streten has already somewhat confirmed he has a new album is in the works. He casually mentioned it in relation to an NFT that included “new album visuals.” It has been nearly six years since the release of his previous long-player, Skin, and so this new track with Albarn could be one of the first singles off this upcoming project.
