UK producer I. JORDAN just unveiled a new initiative, Trans_Formation: Power in Community, to support transgender and non-binary artists.
The six-day project will take place in January with the help of music organizations Brighter Sound and Generator as well as fellow artists Ifeoluwa and TAAHLIAH.
The selected artists will receive additional support producing new music and will get to perform at Newcastle’s Star & Shadow as well as the new trans and non-binary festival TRANUARY in Manchester.
I. JORDAN’s stated about the initiative, “This will be an opportunity to support, nurture and grow our creativity and create something unique in a space that is ours. Trans and queer spaces are powerful and transformative, but there are not enough dedicated spaces that specifically allow artists to just create. We will be using the power of community to harness our creativity. I can’t wait to see what we make together.”
I. JORDAN is a DJ and promoter from the UK who dove into producing original works in 2019. Their 2020 track “For You” has received critical acclaim and led them to co-producing “Admit It (u don’t want 2)” with Fred again..
The deadline to apply for Trans_Formation: Power in Community is December 12, 2022 at 11PM. Apply here.
