ILLENIUM has finally dropped his fifth studio album, a self-titled LP called ILLENIUM, full of rock and metal influences from the music he is personally inspired by.
The tracks are punkier than his traditional solemn future bass and melodic dubstep sound, with features from BeatBox partner Avril Lavigne and blink-182 drummer Travis Barker as well as metal bands Spiritbox and Motionless In White.
ILLENIUM told EDM Maniac about the new album, “I always work with people that I’m a fan of. A lot of the rock stuff is what I listen to most in my free time. So when I approach an album and have a sound in mind, I obviously wanna work with the people that I listen to and love all the time. It was so fun to be able to blend in these sounds and songs that I like.”
Fans may recognize several singles previously played throughout his live sets over the past two years like the emotional “From the Ashes,” electric-guitar filled “Shivering,” and folky “All That Really Matters.”
And there will be even more chances to experience the new ILLENIUM album in concert during the ILLENIUM LIVE tour, which is set to take place across North America, Europe, and Australia later this year.
Furthermore, the tour includes the biggest show of ILLENIUM’s career and a mecca for super fans, Trilogy: Colorado, at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.
On Saturday, June 17, 2023, the internationally praised artist will perform three unique sets over one night to an audience larger than any prior show.
