Just Add Water: Powdered Alcohol Is Officially Legal In The United States

Well, this is interesting.

After facing some small legal setbacks last year, the creators of Palcohol have officially gotten the greenlight to legally sell it’s powdered alcohol product in the United States. According to the Associated Press, “issues were resolved and that four varieties of Palcohol were approved.” These varieties include cosmopolitan, flavored margarita, vodka, rum and a lemon drop flavor coming soon.

For all you health nuts, Palcohol is only 80 calories and gluten free. All you need to do is add six ounces of liquid and viola! you’ve got yourself an equivalent to a mixed drink.

Of course this new product does pose a ton of new problems, which is why states like Colorado, New York and Ohio are working hard to get it banned. Either way, this is something we’ll be following very closely (ahem) and might be sipping on this summer, when it’s expected to be available.
