Kx5 continues their huge first year as a duo by teaming up with multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer-songwriter Elderbrook for “When I Talk.”
The track is dark, passionate, and progressive with Elderbrook’s haunting vocals and builds made for the main stage of an international festival. This huge collaboration proves Kx5’s sound is leading toward the melodic end of the dance music spectrum and hints at what’s to come from their impending album.
Elderbrook said about the track, “The song is about barriers. Shutting people out and dealing with that. The song means a lot to me, I’m so happy to have it coming out finally and to be part of the project.”
Elderbrook is a highly sought-after vocalist due to his epic collaborations with Camelphat, Diplo, Bob Moses, and Rudimental. He’s been a massive supporting artist, opening tours for Jungle, Rüfüs Du Sol, and ODESZA.
“When I Talk” is the fifth single to be released this year by Kx5 following their current Top 40 radio track “Escape,” and recent pieces “Avalanche,” “Take Me High” and “Alive.”
