Kx5 made history during their concert at the LA Coliseum this past weekend by holding the largest single-day concert headlined by an electronic music artist ever in North America.
The Coliseum concert, which Kx5 representatives say drew 46,220 fans, marks the biggest ticketed global dance event of 2022 for a headline artist, according to Billboard Boxscore. Furthermore, Pollstar confirmed it was the largest electronic music artist concert ever in North America.
The show was an overwhelming success despite rain showers and a “generator fire” caused the stage power to go out for several minutes.
But this was a full circle moment for Kaskade as the last time he performed in the Coliseum was Electric Daisy Carnival 2010, an event that kickstarted many raver’s love for the scene. Unfortunately, the event moved to Las Vegas after this edition due to safety concerns after a drug-related death and several others in the state.
Kx5 has blazed through 2022 with five singles including the chart-topping “Escape (feat. Hayla).” The duo is also confirmed to be releasing an album in 2023, according to Billboard.
