Brace yourselves for the heat this weekend at Electric Daisy Carnival!
An excessive heat warning will soon go in to effect for Clark County in Las Vegas, marking the first official heatwave of the year. The warning has been issued by The National Weather Service, and will begin 11am this Saturday and end at 11am on June 20th. Basically, most of EDC weekend.
Temperatures are expected to average around 110-113+ degrees this EDC weekend.
“An excessive heat warning means that there will be a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures. Excessive heat can be dangerous for the elderly, children, homeless, pets and other vulnerable people. Everyone is advised to drink plenty of fluids and stay out of the sun.”
Stay out of the sun? It’s EDC weekend! Make sure to hydrate and take breaks from dancing whenever you can. Be sure to drink a glass of water (at least) for every alcoholic drink you consume. Dress accordingly and look out for one another.
Stay safe out there! See you tomorrow at EDC.
