No Mana Returns To Monstercat With Thumping 8-Bit/Techno Track “Out of the Dark”

After signing with Monstercat for his previous single “Yesterday,” Filipino producer No Mana returns with a driving techno-inspired track “Out of the Dark.”

It’s a desert-meets-dungeon techno piece influenced by the visuals from his dark, 70s video game-inspired Gravity set. The thumping techno beat and happy, chip-tune vocal perfectly contrast for an eerie progressive track. The drop is heavy and unexpected, fitting for an underground warehouse at 3AM.

No Mana shares about “Out of the Dark,” “When I was scrambling for visual assets for this song on my Gravity set, I ran into my GIFs of a skull, chains, and biblically accurate angels… When making this track, I had only just imagined it to be something that just sounds cool on a big system, but I feel fulfilled being able to create visual art to music because it completes the sound’s context or meaning.”

The pixel-art aficionado is now taking his new music on tour, with more than ten dates across the US from Treehouse in Miami, to Bang Bang in San Diego, and Elsewhere in Brooklyn. An avid 8-bit enthusiast, he will incorporate the theme into a brand new live set in an immersive audiovisual experience for attendees.

Jordan Orcaz, professionally known as No Mana, is a regular on electro heavyweight deadmau5‘s label mau5trap. He ultimately went on to release over 25 songs with them, including “Tell Me,” “Bad Things,” and his debut album Secret Level.
