Brooklyn-based artist EVAN GIIA and fellow bass house powerhouse Nostalgix have just shared their debut collaboration, “Limit.”
This track showcases a unique blend of EVAN GIIA’s classically trained opera vocals with a captivating and dark bassline, elevating the genre to new heights.
Despite being their first collaboration, the synergy between the two producers is evident in the track’s infectious energy. The accompanying music video exudes y2k grunge sounds and features EVAN GIIA performing live vocals alongside Nostalgix’s skillful DJing.
EVAN GIIA expresses her enthusiasm for the release of “Limit,” stating, “I was thrilled to create a song that incorporates my operatic sound in the pre-chorus and transitions into something heavy. This is my first collaboration with a female producer, a goal I’ve had for years! The confidence and power in this track are palpable. Our vision was to convey female warriors going into battle while we wrote it.”
Nostalgix adds, “I was excited to hit the studio with EVAN GIIA, as I believe she is an incredibly talented artist who embodies everything I admire. When we found time to work together amidst our busy touring schedules, we discussed the challenges we were both facing at the time. We were both in periods of our lives where we had to be our own superheroes and truly show up for ourselves. So, we channeled those experiences into the writing process, and the result was a flawless collaboration.”
