Portola Is Officially Coming Back In 2023

Portola, San Francisco’s newest festival, is back on September 30-October 1, 2023 for its second year at Pier 80.

Rumors have been swirling about the return of Goldenvoice‘s latest alternative/electronic weekender, with the first official confirmation coming in the form of a billboard seen on the way to Coachella 2023.

Then one of the festival’s official hotel partners leaked the dates for the event’s return, accidentally dropping that a package to the festival on September 30 and October 1 would be coming soon.

Now, Portola has officially announced the dates for 2023 in a social media post this morning, cheekily stating, “Tell your second cousins you can’t make it to their boring wedding.”

Taking place once again at the industrial Pier 80, Portola was praised last year for its bare-bones approach to production. It instead focused on creating a genuine rave experience with a top-notch sound system and intimate tent stages.

Portola arguably had one of the best lineups of 2022 as well. Last year’s roster featured absolute electronic legends like Flume, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Four Tet B2B Floating Points, and the full Keinemusik crew of Adam Port&ME, and Rampa.

Ticket and lineup information for Portola 2023 have not been released yet, but check out the announcement of their festival dates for this year below:
