Portugal’s Outdoor Events Confirmed For May 3

The Portuguese Government has announced that they are planning on easing down their lockdown measures.

In a televised address, Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa laid out the government’s framework on easing the countries lockdown measures. The government currently is planning on stressing general lockdown procedures until Easter, “while nursery and primary schools will see pupils returning to face to face classes on March 15.” The prime minister commented that travel “between municipalities would continue to be prohibited during the weekend until Easter but that shops, shopping centers, and restaurants will be able to open again on April 19” and that large outdoor events will be allowed starting May 3.

EDC Portugal was quick to hop on the recent announcement and took to Twitter shortly after. EDC Portugal is currently scheduled to take place from Friday, June 18 to Sunday, June 20. Hopefully, this announcement helps ease the country’s lockdown measures and we are able to experience EDC Portugal later on this summer.
