Rumors swirled on Twitter that RÜFÜS DU SOL was breaking up after a vague video from their performance in Los Angeles insinuated an end for the celebrated group.
During the performance, which occurred at the Hollywood Bowl last weekend, one of the members stated, “Tonight is very special because it marks the end of the chapter for us as a unit. I just feel really blessed we get to share tonight with you guys.” This moment was captured on video, uploaded to Twitter, and promptly went viral.
The group may have been hinting at the fact that they will be moving to different locations and not be physically together as often, as right before this video they discussed moving separately to San Diego and Miami. But they calmed the rumors of a full-on breakup quickly on social media.
On their Instagram, the trio posted photos from the Los Angeles performance with the caption, “Last night in LA was incredible. Thank you guys. P.S we’re just getting started.”
The performance was a part of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Surrender World Tour in promotion of their newest album Surrender. The tour will continue until the end of the year, bringing the group all the way to Australia for several high-profile sets.
