RÜFÜS DU SOL continue their grand return to the scene with a new single released today entitled “Alive.” This is the group’s first new music since their 2018 serenade Solace.
A hard-hitting breakbeat narrative, “Alive” alludes to the emotions so many have felt over the past year or more of quarantine. Emotions certainly shared by all three members of the Australian alternative dance project.
“It’s a heavier song in some ways, but at its core it’s hopeful. We are – all of us – living in this transitional moment right now and we wanted to focus on the hope that the future holds for us all. To focus on the light at the end of this tunnel,” says Tyrone Lindqvist, lead singer of the group.
The single comes just after the announcement of new tour dates for RÜFÜS DU SOL which include the largest shows of their career at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. “Alive” will surely be a centerpiece of their new show as they travel to festivals and headlining performances all over the United States.
