Skrillex has been releasing a string of singles in anticipation of his (supposed) upcoming album and he’s enlisted Palestinian singer and composer Nai Barghouti for his newest release, “Xena.”
Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Palestine graduate Nai Barghouti is a world-renowned singer, composer, and flute player who adds the perfect element of mythical euphoria.
The old-school trap feel and prominent percussion build to a seriously epic, sped-up third build for a piece that feels both cathartic and well-rounded.
Skrillex reportedly has two upcoming albums in the works, his first since 2014’s “Recess.” Four other tracks have been released since the beginning of 2023, all going incredibly viral and receiving fan praise.
“Rumble” with Fred again.. and Flowdan was another highly-anticipated ID that currently sits at 25 million listens on Spotify.
But Skrillex also seems in full headliner mode as he will perform at several huge festivals this summer including Elements in Pennsylvania and Parklife in the UK.
