Slushii Has Released His Brand New 14-Track Album, ‘Extinction Level Event’

Over the past few years, Slushii, real name Julian Michael Scanlan, has gone through major evolutions. Personally, professionally, musically, and all of those evolutions have come together in the form of his new full-length album, Extinction Level Event.

“This album is the culmination of three years of my best work. I really felt that there was a need for an album to revive the early 2010’s brostep machine, and fix it up with some new modern tech! This is a slow burn type of album, and one I hope you listen to front to back that can stand as a new beginning in the book of Slushii!” says Scanlan.

As Scanlan said, the album is rife with dubstep hitters, but also features a more fine-tuned sensibility. Tapping impressive vocalists like Kiësza and Mackenzie Sol, there is a level of maturity and sophistication that often eludes production-heavy music. However, after more than five years of the Slushii project, Scanlan has evolved into a true electronic artist.

Extinction Level Event is out now on Monstercat. Stream it in full below.
