Snapchat And Live Nation Are Joining Forces To Bring Augmented Reality To EDC Las Vegas

Snapchat and Live Nation have announced an exciting new partnership that will enhance the fan experience at music festivals around the world. With the Snapchat app, attendees will be able to engage in augmented reality (AR) at major events like EDC Las Vegas, Austin City Limits, Rolling Loud and more.

Accessing these virtual experiences is very easy. Simply open the Snapchat app while attending the festival to enjoy AR presentations alongside practical uses like finding friends, merch, and landmarks spread throughout the grounds. As long as service remains solvent at these events, this could make the festival experience so much simpler, helping people to meet up and keep track of their friends and their phones.

“For years, video screens have been a canvas for visual expression at concerts and festivals around the world,” Snapchat  said in a statement released to TechCrunch. “They help artists tell their stories and bring music to life. We believe Snap’s augmented reality offers artists an incredible new creative tool that will change the way fans experience their performances.”
