New York-based rising talent So Dope brings his refreshing sound to life with the atmospheric eight-track EP Alone in my Dreams, on Lowly.
Pedro Mercado, better known as So Dope, emerged on the electronic music scene in 2018 after releasing “that feeling” and “3+2=u,” two singles that put him on the map showcasing his evolving producing skills. Mercado, sets himself apart through his RnB and Soul vocal sampling coupled with his love for UK Garage & drum and bass, incorporating all of those elements into Alone in my Dreams.
The EP showcases Mercado’s unique ability to bewitch listeners with melody and drums, leaving both a fresh and captivating impression. Now part of the Lowly family, Mercado has the capacity to utilize his versatile production skills, which are on full display in this exceptional EP.
Alone In My Dreams represents the first part of a two-part EP series, blending future bass and trap elements with a modern and compelling twist. Fans can expect the second part, the Revenge EP, to be released later this year.
