SoDown has done it again with a new funk-filled heater, “Take It Back,” from his debut album Worlds Beyond.
When listening to SoDown, also known as, Ehren River Wright, you can’t miss the sophisticated old-school blues feel he mixes with new-school jazzy bass. There are elements of every one of those genres in “Take It Back,” teasing all the funk fans with what is to come on the full album.
Known for getting lost in his grooves on stage with his saxophone, improvising, and allowing the feeling of fresh jazz to take over the show, Wright announced last month that he will be going on a debut album tour ‘Beyond Worlds’ with a killer support team that will open at select shows throughout the tour.
Praised names like kLL Bill, Jaenga, Maddy O’Neal, Bass Physics, Marvel Years, and Evalution are set to open. They are all promising musicians who bring their own unique twist to live performances, and they’re all perfect additions to the groove train Wright will be conducting all across the country.
