Sofi Tukker Remixes “Drinkee” For Ultra Records 25 Years

Sofi Tukker

Ultra Records is releasing commemorative remixes to celebrate its 25 year anniversary. The two “Drinkee” remixes are the first of many special commemorative remixes that will be released as part of ULTRA 25’s celebrations in the coming weeks closing with a formal remix package in October.

The “Drinkee” remix features British house and techno icon Carl Cox, while the second remix comes from Chicago dance music phenom John Sumit in collaboration with Brazilian house maverick Vintage Culture. Drinkee was Sofi Tukker’s first Grammy nomination for “Best Dance Recording” in 2017. Sofi Tukker expressed their excitement about the release:

“Vintage Culture did one of our first ever remixes of ‘Drinkee’ in 2016 and we’ve developed a friendship over the years. And John Summit has recently become a friend and collaborator. This remix feels like family–and it’s been going OFF all summer. Really hyped to have one of our favorite songs we’ve ever made make a comeback in the club!”

Drinkee is the first of the Ultra Records remixes that will be in their commemorative remix package. Ultra Record’s current roster includes artists Sofi Tukker, Steve Aoki, Kygo, NGHTMRE, and more.

We are excited to see what remixes come from Ultra’s deep catalog of hits throughout its 25 years of existence.
