A huge storm is set to hit Southern California this weekend, significantly affecting several festivals.
The storm is said the be the coldest of this winter and likely the coldest in many years. Higher elevations will see frozen rain or snow, making the conditions extremely dangerous for driving.
Several festivals could be affected by the weather including the house and techno festival Skyline in LA, Basscon’s Wasteland in San Bernardino, and LED Presents Anniversary in San Diego.
Conditions will be wet, icy, and slippery and temperatures could get as low as 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
LED has moved their anniversary event from Petco Park to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, a gorgeous waterfront venue at Embarcadero Marina.
The official announcement cited “circumstances beyond their control” caused them to move the venue, which could be anything from weather to logistics. Hours also were shifted to start and end a bit earlier.
There has been no word from Insomniac regarding changes due to weather for Skyline or Wasteland.
