The ‘Avicii Arena’ will be a symbol for mental health
One of Sweden’s most popular and well-known venues, the Ericsson Globe, has now been named, the ‘Avicii Arena,’ and will seek to prevent mental illness for the young people of Sweden. The new name for the arena resulted because of a unique collaboration between the Tim Bergling Foundation and ASM Global’s Stockholm Live. Klas Bergling (Avicii’s father) released the following statement about the new arena name change,
”It was a significant milestone in Tim’s career when he played here 9 years ago, and he would be extremely proud that this iconic building from today will bear his name.”
The ‘Avicii Arena‘ is visible from most of Stockholm and is the primary venue where major stars perform in Sweden. Now, the arena will not only continue to serve as one of Sweden’s major venues, but it will also become a new symbol for mental illness for the young people of Sweden.
In celebration of the ‘Avicii Arena‘ naming, The Royal Stockholm Philarmonic Orchestra have recorded their own take on the classic Avicii song, ‘For a Better Day.’
