Swedish House Mafia has taken the top spot in this year’s Tomorrowland Top 1000 with their classic banger, “Don’t You Worry Child.”
Avicii‘s “Levels” managed to rise to second place, after receiving third in 2022, overtaking last year’s second-place finisher, “Mammoth” by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and MOGUAI.
Over the past two weeks, the People of Tomorrow could vote on their favorite anthems for 2023. The results were then revealed later on Tomorrowland’s One World Radio. This was the fifth year Tomorrowland hosted the contest.
Axwell and Steve Angello of Swedish House Mafia said about their win, “We want to say thank you so much for voting ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ as the number one song in this year’s Tomorrowland Top 1000!”
2023 was a big year for new music, with 129 new entries on the leaderboard overall.
Martin Garrix led in quantity with 39 tracks on the roster followed closely by David Guetta, Tiësto, and Armin van Buuren.
Charlotte de Witte was the highest-ranked female artist on the list with Fred again.. and Swedish House Mafia’s collaboration “Turn On The Lights Again” as the highest-placing new entry.
