We didn’t have this on our Bingo card- one of The Chainsmokers was punched in the face backstage by T.I.
In a story that seems like it was made up in Mad Libs, The Chainsmokers, one of the biggest EDM artists on the planet, posted a Tik Tok about how Drew Taggart was punched in the face by the Atlanta rapper T.I.
The story goes that Taggart ran into the rapper backstage, talked to him for a bit, and felt they had formed a bond. He said he was “feeling the vibes a bit too hard” and decided to kiss T.I. on the cheek.
T.I. was taken aback, pushed the Canadian producer off, and punched him in the face. But there are no lingering effects as both their friendship and Taggart’s face are both intact.
T.I. stated about the altercation, “I think the most important thing to take away is afterwards, we had a drink, we took a shot, you dig? You know what I’m saying? And we moved on. You know, everybody left the party, had a good time. Like I said, love The Chainsmokers — not to get no sugar, though.”
