Travis Scott Launches Event Safety Initiative Via New Outreach Program Project HEAL

This week, Travis Scott announced Project HEAL, a new multi-tiered outreach program that will address a variety of challenges facing today’s youth.

Some of the causes Project HEAL will support include academic scholarships, mental health services, a creative design center, and a tech-driven solution for event safety. The last of the list is of particular interest as this new program comes a few months following the tragedy at Scott’s festival, Astroworld, which led to the deaths of 10 individuals and hundreds of injuries.

The announcement came via social media wherein Scott shared his intentions for the project:

“My team and I created Project HEAL to take much-needed action towards supporting real solutions that make all events the safest spaces they can possibly be. I will always honor the victims of the Astroworld tragedy who remain in my heart forever,” Scott said in the caption.
