The largest and longest-running college artist tour, The Monster Energy Up & Up Festival, just announced their latest headliner, G House/midtempo master Dr. Fresch.
Dr. Fresch is well renowned for his innovative combination of house, hip-hop, and midtempo, creating a swag-filled sound that has crowds grooving at international mainstays like EDC Las Vegas, Paradiso, Moonrise, Electric Forest, and more.
Now he will join The Monster Energy Up & Up Festival. This contest encourages students to employ guerilla marketing and influencer campaigns while rallying their school for presales to win the chance to co-produce a concert on campus featuring a high-profile performer.
The 48-hour campaign that generates the most presales wins the contest and only the winning school’s ticket holders will be charged.
For four consecutive semesters, this strategy has sold out huge shows from artists like Loud Luxury (2021), San Holo (2022), Dom Dolla (2022), and Chris Lorenzo (Spring 2023).
Since 2016, the Monster Energy Up & Up Festival has been providing music industry experience and internship credit for those looking for a way to get into festival management and marketing.
In addition, Up & Up offers an extension of collegiate programming called Club 100, a monthly virtual event via Zoom with surprise performances by renowned national artists, thought-provoking industry guest speakers, educational opportunities, and giveaways.
The national competition kicks off on September 13 at 4PM EST, with the winning festivals set to take place in October and November. Teams can apply for their school and learn more about the contest on their website here.
