Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN Festival Drops Lineup Packed With New & Veteran Bass Acts

The lineup for Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN Music Festival is here and features some of the best artists in experimental bass.

The camping festival will return to Mulberry Mountain in the Ozarks of Arkansas for its third year from September 27-30, 2023.

Liquid Stranger’s successful WAKAAN imprint is once again proving itself as an impeccable curator of all things wonky with a distinct lineup that includes two headline sets from Liquid Stranger himself – not including the pre-party – alongside other big names in bass.

GRiZ will continue his massive pre-hiatus run at WAKAAN, joining established experimental players like Eprom, Ternion Sound, Champagne Drip, PEEKABOO, and a high-powered B2B from LSDREAM and INZO.

WAKAAN Festival has tapped some true bass heritage acts for 2023 as well, with the likes of Coki, KOAN Sound, Jantsen, and Truth all slated to appear.

Colorado cult-favorite performer Late Night Radio is also on the ticket and Dr. Fresch will perform a drum and bass set.

Furthermore, WAKAAN Festival’s Thursday pre-party is sure to pop off with sets from A Hundred Drums, Buku B2B G-Rex, Rusko, and Liquid Stranger.

House music will also be highlighted with a stage takeover from Dirtybird with Claude VonStroke, Mary Droppinz, and more. The Dirtybird label head will even play a set under his experimental “alias” Barclay Crenshaw.

WAKAAN’s downtempo offshoot SSKWAN will also curate its own stage.

Check out the lineup below and tickets to this year’s WAKAAN Music Festival at Mulberry Mountain are available now here.
