Warner Bros has released a full EDM rendition of Mortal Kombat’s iconic theme song.
In anticipation of Mortal Kombat’s blockbuster film which will premiere later this month, Warner Bros has released an EDM rendition of the iconic Mortal Kombat theme song. The EDM rendition comes from the composer of the original Mortal Kombat theme song, Benjamin Wallfisch. The title of the track is ‘Techno Syndrome 2021’ and encompasses the original Mortal Kombat theme song with modern-day electronic music sounds.
The track itself is a mix of techno, trance, and dubstep. Within the first 60 seconds, the track immediately takes you into the ring as if you were getting ready to fight Sub-Zero. The track starts out with intense techno and trance-inspired sounds but eventually transitions into dubstep as soon the ‘final round’ begins.
This EDM rendition is the perfect re-work to an already iconic theme song and fits the overall theme of Mortal Kombat effortlessly.
