The dance music community has really come together during the COVID-19 pandemic. From consistent weekly live streams, to virtual workshops and festivals, the entire community has creatively tackled the crisis full-on with innovative ways to keep people engaged.
Germany however, has taken it to a completely different level. Last night, the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME Drive-In was hosted in a parking lot complete with DJ’s, fireworks, pyrotechnics and more. The incredible experience allowed dance music fans to participate in the experience while staying safely socially distant in their cars.
WORLD CLUB DOME is one of Frankfurt’s most exciting festivals. Like every other festival, the festival has been postponed to 2021 due to ongoing global pandemic. However, WORLD CLUB DOME was able to hold the first and only live streaming event from inside a stadium during quarantine — a true testament to bringing fans the music they love.
This creative “DRIVE-In” alternative just shows how incredible the dance music community really is and shows us that even during a global pandemic, the music will guide the way through darkness. You can relive some photos from last night’s “DRIVE IN RAVE” below.
