Bigger and better than ever, that’s the theme of this year’s EDMBiz 2016.
Insomniac Events has unveiled it’s plan for the 5th annual EDMBiz Conference & Expo. This takes place ahead of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. This three day event will be held at Caesar’s Palace and will be double the size of last year’s event.
This means there will be much more programming which includes panel discussions and unique demonstrations from some of the biggest innovators in the industry. The three new cornerstones of the event: Experience, Technology and Aspiration. CEO and Founder of Insomniac Events, Pasquale Rotella had this to say about EDMbiz:
“EDMbiz is a unique opportunity for our entire community to come together and shape the future of dance music,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and Founder of Insomniac. “From artists, promoters, agents and journalists, to people who simply aspire to be part of this amazing culture, everyone has the chance to contribute to the discussion.”
Also new this year: Stage 2. This is a town-hall environment where the newest thought leaders and trendsetters in the industry will host fast-paced talks on the latest topics impacting dance music culture.
If you’re looking for networking opportunities, be sure to check out the first-ever EDMbiz Hackathon. This is where entrepreneurs and programmers have the opportunity to come together to collaborate on and create new digital tools, a feature never before seen at a dance music conference. Aspiring DJ/producers can take advantage of the second year of the EDMbiz Song Contest to have their original music heard by influential artists and industry players.
EDMbiz has also added two additional ticketing tier options, in addition to the standard three-day Wide Awake Badge, which comes with full event access plus entry to select EDC Week programming. The new Kinetic Badge includes access only to Stage Two, the EDMbiz Expo and select EDC Week programming, while the new Neon Badge includes access to the Expo and the same select EDC Week club shows. Jason Bentley, KCRW’s Music Director and host of Morning Becomes Eclectic, will return to host the new-look conference.
Passes to EDMbiz are now on sale. You can find all of the info here: http://www.edmbiz.com
This all leads up to the 20-year anniversary of EDC which takes place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from June 17–19.
See you there!
