The Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, and The Mirage will all re-open full-time starting Wednesday, March 4.
This week has been full of major entertainment news from Las Vegas. AREA15 and Life Is Beautiful both announced summer plans that will take effect later this summer and now 3 MGM International resorts will open full-time for the first time in nearly a year. The Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, and The Mirage will all re-open for 24 hours a day starting on Wednesday, March 4.
According to KLAS 8 and local Las Vegas economic analyst Jeremey Aguero, there is a possibility the hospitality industry begins hiring, a conversation that was not being held 3 months ago. Aguero believes that Las Vegas is only halfway through its recovery period, although recent Las Vegas entertainment announcements may push that recovery period even shorter than expected.
It will be exciting to see how Las Vegas’s economy and unemployment rate change due to the re-openings, as the hospitality and entertainment industries are some of Las Vegas’s biggest sources of revenue, aside from tourism.
