The London club will not allow fans to take photos or videos starting on July 23

One of London’s premier clubs, fabric, will not allow its guests to be on their phones once the club reopens on July 23. The announcement was made on the club’s social media platforms on Monday, July 28, stating that the club is encouraging fans to “stay in the moment” and to enjoy the night aside from all cellular devices. The social media post further explains that,

“Fabric is London’s home for underground music, always aiming to create a feeling of self-expression on the dance-floor. We are introducing a strict no photo, and no video policy at the club.”

Fabric had previously scheduled their reopening weekend to take place on June 25, however, due to the UK government’s decision to extend all restrictions an additional four weeks, fabric will now be celebrating their reopening weekend from July 23-25. Fabric’s decision to restrict all photos and videos is nothing new, as the club has always enforced a strict no photo and video policy. The idea behind the policy is to give the artists, dancers, and the club, the respect it deserves.
