Outside Lands Brings Back Grass Lands, Legal Cannabis Consumption And Sales

Outside Lands returns to  San Francisco, CA on August 5-7 and will bring along a much-loved feature: the return of Grass Lands. Or rather the return of festival-sanctioned sales and consumption of cannabis.

Grass Lands launched in 2018 as the first curated cannabis experience at a major American music festival. Sponsors and partners include STIIIZY, High Times, Traditional, Treez (the official technology partner of Grass Lands), and Embarc Events.

Festival goers 21 and up can explore new attractions like the Garden of Weed’n—where you can consume cannabis purchases—the Farmers’ Market, and live music in the Arts District.

Cannabis is becoming increasingly more accepted at music festivals. Last year Insomniac partnered with cannabis brand RNBW to become the official flower of EDC Las Vegas. While cannabis is not federally legal, it has been legal in states like California, Oregon, and Colorado for many years.
