Festival season is already here and Miami’s annual Ultra Music Festival is will open its doors on March 24-26, 2023. Taking place at the festival’s established home of Bayfront Park in Miami, organizers are giving ravers a warm, spring time welcome back into the season.

Ultra’s roster always holds some of the biggest and most innovative names in dance music, along with top-notch production, visuals, and a world-class atmosphere.

From the main stage to their house and techno stage, RESISTANCE, organizers have taken it upon themselves to deliver an unforgettable experience that has become a rite of passage for festival-goers.

With its industrial-inspired aesthetic and previous hard-hitting lineups, RESISTANCE is for those looking to embrace four-on-the-floor beats and get lost in melodic and repetitive rhythms.

This year, RESISTANCE has locked down an enticing group of women who will serve fans the sounds of techno and house on a silver platter. With names like Maya Jane Coles, Anfisa Letyago, Nicole Moudaber, and Kasia, attendees can expect electrifying beats and awe-inspiring performances.

1. Maya Jane Coles

British-Japanese producer and DJ, Maya Jane Coles, is known for her eclectic and innovative blend of deep house, techno, and garage music, as well as her overall creative approach to music production.

MJC has established herself as a prominent figure in the electronic music scene in a relatively short time, having played at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and venues, and received critical acclaim for her releases on labels like Hypercolour and Mobilee.

She also has a dubstep side project called Nocturnal Sunshine for those looking to take a deep dive into the expanse of her talent.

2. Anfisa Letyago

Surfacing from Naples, Italy, Anfisa Letyago is a rising star in the techno scene. She’s known for her energetic and hypnotic DJ sets that fuse together elements of acid, trance, and industrial techno.

Despite only starting her career in 2018, Letyago has already caught the attention of many within the techno scene, both professionally and fan-based. 3. Juliet Fox

A staple with over a decade under her belt, Juliet Fox is a DJ, producer, and vocalist landing from Adelaide, Australia. She’s recognized for her infectious blend of techno, tech-house, and house music, and her powerful and soulful voice.

Dirtybird Records mean-machine, VNSSA, is DJ and producer from Southern California who’s established herself in the tech house and general house music scene in recent years.

7. Melanie Ribbe

A model turned DJ, Melanie Ribbe is a German-born, Jamaican-raised Tech House DJ and producer who turned her full attention to music at the London Academy of Music Production in the early 2010s. She has established herself as a multi-talented artist with an immense passion for dance music, resulting in her very own record label, Agape Muzik.

After taking runways and ad campaigns by storm, Ribbe has graced the stages of well-known festivals like Fabrik Madrid, We Are FSTVL, and Lollapalooza. The artist creates music and throws down sets with one intention: to put listeners in their feels.

8. Raecola

With booty-bouncing basslines and ghetto house funk, the twin sister act, Raecola, is a force to be reckoned with. Taking influences from their hometown Chicago with unique touches of their own, Rachael and Nicole have rapidly gained recognition within the house music scene.

Using their twin synergy to create sounds that make listeners go berserk, Raecola matches that energy with their infectious stage performance. The two have landed gigs at well-recognized festivals like Dirtybird Campout and Ultra Music Festival.

9. Kasia

Poland-raised, but London-based DJ, Kasia, discovered the moving timbres of dance music in the early 90s. As she worked toward building and establishing her sound, Kasia soon became recognized in the Hamburg, Germany scene within clubs like Baalsaal and Waangenbau.

Resident Advisor describes her sound as “somewhere between from house, dub to techno with a healthy dose of deep groove and funk thrown into the mix.” She’ll be performing alongside Dom Dolla at DJ Mag’s Miami Pool Party on Wednesday, March 22, and Ultra’s RESISTANCE stage on March 25.
