Black Coffee Gives An Inside Look Into Becoming A Virtual Avatar For Sensorium Galaxy

PRISM is the first virtual world from the forward-thinking tech company, Sensorium Galaxy, and South African DJ and producer, Black Coffee, is the latest artist who will perform in PRISM as a virtual avatar.

Check out the video below that gives a brief look into what it takes to create an avatar at this level of complexity. In the clip, Black Coffee is wearing a high-tech suit with cameras attached while he spins a set. As he spins, he is surrounded by various other cameras as well.

The cameras capture a huge amount of images and videos which are then composited into a virtual version of Black Coffee himself.

Other superstar DJs including Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox, Eric Prydz, and Armin Van Buuren will also perform in PRISM. Sensorium has branded these artists as “The Chosen Ones”  who will be taken “into Sensorium Galaxy by the PRISM world portal, transferring them into the virtual environment through digitalization for future performances in this virtual experience.”

You can pre-register for to access the beta version of PRISM here.
