House heads rejoice as Cloonee and Chris Lake’s horror-inspired collaboration premiered today, May 13, 2022. “Nightmares,” released on Lake’s label Black Book Records, feels reminiscent of both a horror movie and a dark, warehouse club. Cloonee said in a press release, “Working with Chris was an absolute honor and a huge milestone in my career that I will look back on fondly. It took us a few attempts to land on this record, but I’m incredibly happy that we did as the final result is amazing.” But this isn’t the first time the two tech-house producers have worked together. Cloonee signed to Black Book in 2020 and has since supported Lake at several shows. The duo will also play a back-to-back set at Fisher’s “Under Construction” show in Phoenix on May 28 & 29. Cloonee is a tech-house producer who hails from the UK. His song “Be Good to Me” (featuring Lindy Layton) premiered with a #1 spot on the Beatport Tech-House chart. Chris Lake has been in the scene for a minute, and his label Black Book records has been dropping hot tracks since its inception.
