Flux Pavilion and Excision, some of the pioneers of modern dubstep, have finally teamed up for a collaboration with the release of “On Forever.”
“On Forever” is a melodic track for the dreamers of the world. With a powerful vocal sung by indie and pop singer Saint Raymond in his first foray into electronic music, the song boasts about how the singer (or listener) has been waiting “on forever” for a feeling of happiness.
Excision adds a heavier bass line to the second drop of the song, while still letting Pavilion’s iconic sound shine through.
Excision and Flux Pavilion have been friends for over a decade, as they both helped shape American dubstep, but they had yet to release a track together until this week.
Flux Pavilion hails from the UK and is one of the “OGs” of dance music and dubstep. With singles such as “I Can’t Stop,” “Cracks,” and an electrifying remix of Galantis‘ “Gold Dust,” Flux Pavilion produced a happier and more motivating dubstep that had not yet been heard by the masses.
“On Forever” is a revamped version of his iconic sound and is a perfect addition to any live bass music set that helps it slow down for a second so listeners can connect.
