Ibiza Will Adopt New Restrictions Due To Rising COVID Cases

San Antonio, Ibiza, will be subject to new restrictions surrounding COVID-19 as cases continue to rise in the area. There were 256 cases reported on the Balaeric Islands on July 6.

Venues in the city—which include mega clubs Privilege and Amnesia—will now be forced to close at 2AM. During hours of operation, a maximum of six guests will be able to sit together in an indoor setting and 10 guests can sit together in an outdoor setting. These strictures apply to all entertainment and nightlife settings in San Antonio.

Additionally, the sale of alcohol will be prohibited between 9:30PM and 8AM.

Ibiza is currently on the UK government’s green list, meaning there is no required quarantine for British citizens returning from Ibiza. However, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez recently decreed that negative COVID-19 tests for proof of vaccination would be required from tourists to enter the island.
