Lee Reynolds drops “Can’t Rewind” EP on Desert Hearts Records

Desert Hearts‘ own Lee Reynolds is back on the crew’s label with his first solo EP, “Can’t Rewind”.

As Desert Hearts’ message of “House. Techno. Love.” expands worldwide, the members of the crew have continuously dug deeper in production, none more so than Papa Lee. While he may be the oldest member of the crew his energy behind the decks and on the dancefloor is a testament to youth, and now he brings that same energy to this four track EP.

Desert Hearts parties are certainly grounded in house and techno, but that’s where the parameters end. Disco, breaks, and every other style associated with a four-on-the-floor beat have a place at Desert Hearts, and this diverse offering from Lee Reynolds is unquestionably demonstrative of that fact.

“Revolution Earth” is a sweeping deep house groove. “It’s On” adopts the grittier inclinations of tech house. “Sex Gangs” is acid house through and through. Finally the title track features vocals from Lee himself atop a distorted electric guitar.
