The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is right around the corner. If you haven’t secured your housing yet – you better start NOW.
You’ll be hard pressed to find a hotel room for under $200 per night anywhere in the Coachella Valley during both weekends of Coachella. I booked my rooms back in May of last year, and saved a lot of money. Planning is key!
If you are still looking for a hotel, a pop-up hotel that’s been a staple at Burning Man has been approved for Coachella. The Indio City Council voted 3-2 to approve the hotel on a city owned lot. It’s located on a 38 acre empty lot at the corner of Avenue 50 and Calhoun Street, just 2 miles away from the venue.
Festival Lodging is the company behind the “Lost Hotel.” They will be paying the city of Indio $750 per acre used for the hotel. The giant canvas hotel can hold 300 people. Rooms will consist of tent cubicles and start at $1600 for four days including meals. You can spend a little more money and upgrade to a “glamping” option that will give you a little more privacy.
Those “glamping” tents include 300 square feet of living space, a full size bed and queen pull out sofa! Alcohol will be served between the hours of 8am and 10pm. The hotel also features a lounge and restaurant. Festival Lodging hopes to be able to get everything in order so the Lost Hotel can be up and running for Coachella in April. The company is taking reservations now. You can find more information HERE.
Also, check out the video of the “Lost Hotel” HERE.
The SOLD OUT Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is set for April 15-17 and April 22-24 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
I’ll see you there on weekend 2!
