The Netherlands Cancels All Festivals Until September

Mysteryland was canceled today after Dutch restrictions called for a halt in multi-day camping events until September 1st.

Mysteryland was set to take place August 27th-29th near Amsterdam. The headliners included Alesso, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, and Timmy Trumpet. Ticket holders will have the option for their ticket to transfer over to next year’s event or receive a full refund.

The Netherlands experienced 10,000 new Covid cases a day in July. The Verknipt Festival in early July was reported to have over 1,000 attendees test positive, even after showing proof of vaccinations or negative tests. Dutch festivals set to take place before September will have to cancel or postpone their events due to the new restriction.
