Steller, also known as Angelica Bafitis, a groovy bass artist hailing from Florida, has released her new single, “Who Got The Funk.” In an eclectic mix of bass and funk, Bafitis has combined multiple genres to bring listeners a dubstep song with a funky twist.
“Who Got The Funk” utilizes guitar and its catchy question-and-answer format (“Who got the funk? We got the funk!”) to build up the song. Once the beat drops, Bafitis adds a funky dubstep bass line that can only be heard wearing the nastiest bass faces. The ending uses horns and a drop that should only be heard at a festival (phone speakers do not do it justice).
Steller has received support from Zingara, Jessica Audifred (whom she collaborates with), Sippy, Blanke, and more. Becoming one of the queens of dubstep rather quickly, Bafitis continues to grow and showcase her talent with releases like “Who Got The Funk.”
With performances at Okeechobee, Forbidden Kingdom, and Lost Lands this year alone, Steller is making waves in the bass music scene. Stay on the lookout for her performances in 2024 and stream “Who Got The Funk” below.
