Subtronics Will Release His Remix Of “Escape” By Kx5 This Friday

The Subtronics remix of “Escape” by Kx5 is set to drop this Friday, June 24, and Subtronics just proved he’s as much of a fan as everyone else.

The “Nuclear Bass Face” creator tweeted the release date stating that Kx5, made up of legendary producers Kaskade and deadmau5, were some of his idols.

Subtronics premiered the remix at his EDC set this past year. He famously was surprised by the Kx5 duo as they came on stage to headbang along to the track. He also reportedly got help from John Summit, whose remix of the single dropped a few weeks ago.

The story, as told on Subtronics’ social media, goes that when he was about to remix the track, he realized the stems had expired and was going to be unable to create the iconic moment. He DM’ed asking Summit for help after hearing the remix at Coachella and he happily obliged. Summit claims it was worth it as “he got deadmau5 to twerk on stage”.
