Denver is known as the Bass Capitol with millions of tourists flooding in every year. The one question I get asked the most when people visit is, “Where’s the best nightclubs to go dance?” There is a very active night life within the Denver scene. There is even one club that has a 100,000-watt Funktion-One sound system.
Here are the 3 top nightclubs to visit when you’re in the Bass Capitol:
- Club Vinyl – This club is set up with 4 dance floors that bring in DJs from all over the globe. Every Friday night is “Fiesta Fridays” with the whole club dedicated to Latin music. Every Saturday on the main floor you can enjoy some of the top house, techno and underground dance music producers & DJs on the Funktion-One sound and integrated LED light system. In the “BASSment” they have rotating nights featuring dubstep. The 2nd Floor or “Glass Lounge” is Retro/80′s with DJ Danny. While “The Rooftop” is Top 40/Hip-Hop Dance with Dave Peacock.
- The Church – The Church of Seven Candles, a.k.a. “The Church”, is built in an abandoned 1800’s gothic church. It makes for a very beautiful venue with the original gothic architecture, stained glass windows, and intricate woodwork. Combine all that with a state of the art sound & lighting system, and you get a truly unique experience. They offer 5 rooms and 2 patios for you to dance on. This is one of the few clubs that will allow you to bring your flow toys in, as long as you use them responsibly. So go ahead and bust those gloves out! Global Dance brings in many big name artists with “Global Thursdays” every Thursday. The Church has hosted many big name artists like Audien, Cosmic Gate, Deorro, Ferry Corsten, Madeon, Oliver Helsden, and W&W. Some people might find it wrong to use the abandoned church to dance in, but they have to remember that it would be a pile of rubble otherwise.
- Beta Nightclub – Beta has been voted the #1 club in Denver many times since it opened in 2008. They have even made several national and global lists as well. Billboard listed Beta as the #25 top club in the world saying, “Sound quality is crucial in the dance world, and the award-winning Beta more than delivers in that department with a booming sound system. Add in its proximity to Red Rocks, an enthusiastic fan base and consistent curation and you’ve got the perfect storm to build a dance foundation.” With over 100,000 watts routed to Beta’s Funktion-One speakers and 21-inch dual sub-woofers, you’re guaranteed to enjoy the sound! Combine that sound with state of the art visuals, lighting and you’ve got a recipe for a great party. They even have a liquid-nitrogen Kryogenifex system that cools down the crowd by 30 degrees while shooting fog out. Beta brings in some of the biggest artists in the industry including Armin Van Buuren, Benny Benassi, Destructo, Deadmau5, Kaskade, Knife Party, and Tiësto. Global Dance hosts their “Ritual Fridays” there every Friday night. Even Insomniac has gotten on board and started booking their “Dreamstate Presents” tours at Beta. You should buy your tickets soon because big name artists can sell out very quickly.
